VULNERABLE PEOPLE
To accompany with kindness.
Protect with vigilance.
At Actif santé financière , we believe that every person deserves to be supported with respect, listening and kindness.
Certain situations can make a person more vulnerable in managing their finances. Age, illness, loss of independence, bereavement, difficulty understanding, or a period of significant stress can all influence the ability to make certain financial decisions.
Our role is to remain attentive to these situations in order to adapt our support and help protect the interests of our clients.
What constitutes a situation of financial vulnerability?
A person in a vulnerable situation is not necessarily incapable of making decisions. Rather, it refers to a person whose personal circumstances, whether temporary or permanent, may increase the risk of abuse, financial exploitation, or difficulty making decisions.
Financial abuse can include the fraudulent, illegal or unauthorized use of a person's assets or resources, or the concealment of important information that affects their financial decisions.
Signs that might alert us
Every situation is unique. However, certain indicators can lead us to pay particular attention, especially when we observe:
an unusual difficulty in understanding certain financial information;
significant changes in financial habits;
decisions that seem inconsistent with previously stated objectives;
the presence of unusual influence from a close relative during meetings;
signs of stress, anxiety or confusion during exchanges.
These factors do not necessarily mean that a person is a victim of financial abuse, but they may warrant increased attention and appropriate support.
Our commitment to vulnerable people
At Actif santé financière , we are committed to:
take the time to listen to each customer;
explain the financial information clearly;
adapt our support to the pace and needs of the individual;
to promote informed decisions;
to refer, when appropriate, to specialized resources.
Our goal is to enable each client to make financial decisions in an atmosphere of trust and respect.
If you have any concerns
If you believe that a loved one may be a victim of financial abuse or if you yourself feel vulnerable, we encourage you to talk to us.
Depending on the situation, we can adapt our support and, when appropriate, refer you to the relevant resources.
Our approach
A relationship of trust is at the heart of our support.
At Actif santé financière , we prioritize a human, respectful, and personalized approach. We believe that quality support involves listening as much as providing financial advice. Because protecting a person's assets also means helping to protect their peace of mind.
